The second Open Innovation Forum has now launched. It allows companies to set innovation challenges and receive solution proposals from research groups and centres.
The Open Innovation Forum is divided into six knowledge areas (health, nutrition, chemistry, biotech/medtech, cosmetics and energy). Companies or agents interested in taking part can submit their proposal at any time during 2019, which means that innovation challenges can be sent and solutions proposed throughout the year. Several events will be held to allow companies and respondents to meet in 2019.
A committee will evaluate and select the most relevant challenges. Those selected will receive feedback on potential solutions from university research centres and innovators in Catalonia and will be invited to meet the solution teams. Answers to the challenges will be provided within approximately 60 days of receipt.
The Open Innovation Forum is organised by Biocat, the Bosch i Gimpera Fundation, Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), UPF Ventures, the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the UAB Research Park, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, IDIBELL and ACCIÓ.
